What is the best anti-virus package available?

I am happy with my current package from Norton but am curious what is the best available as they all claim they are better than each other. I have CA anti virus on my other pc and to me they do the same thing.

well the real best one is nod 32 and i have run all and checked infected computers with everyone that is available, and nod 32 will always bring up finds of viruses that the others cant find ,don’t believe me then uninstall yours and then run nod over it.

I’ve heard very good things about AVG, but I don’t use it myself. Just make sure to get rid of Norton.

In my opinion, tho alot of people disagree Norton, Panda and Trendmicro are my personal Favorites, I currently dislike AVG but..since its free its pretty hard to argue with it. But remember..you get what you pay for…..

    I had norton/symantec for years, I didn’t like it. I went with Nod32.

Grisoft has a very nice version for free if you would like to try.

I know everyone likes something different, but I really like Norton System Works. I have been buying Norton since 2002 and I have never gotten a virus. Plus there is other items on Norton System Works that I really like.

Kaspersky is the best for strength but PCCillin is the best for fastness.

I do not know which is the best but I do know which is the worst–Norton. I use AVG but it is slower than cold molases but it is free.

Eventually any anti virus application will do. The thing that distinguish one anti virus application from the other is how fast their ability to renew their “signature” of new virus/worm.

    Kaspersky and Nod32–no contest.

Well, there are other things to consider that make a good antivirus, but if you go by this, Kaspersky beats everyone else as it updates hourly. I think Norton still only updates once a week.
