If i download BifDefender 8 Free Edition anti virus program do I have to delete the AVG Free?

I have found VBS/small virus in my MP3 Player and the AVG Free cannot heal it. If I download another anti-virus program like the BitDefender8 Free edition will it conflict with AVG?

You are always better off deleating the extra antivirus. They tend to conflict with each other! What I don’t understand is why your leaving avg??? It is the best out there by far!

most virus are spread through IE. IE is not a safe browser.

you should use a more secure browser to protect your PC from virus. i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar.

firefox can block any any popup and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE browser.

as you know, most of virus spread throught internet and webpage.

besides, firefox is much smaller than IE, so it run faster than IE. download firefox for free, Just have a try:

    Good Luck !

You really should uninstall AVG first (you do not have to delete the install exe file). As the 2 softwares may conflict. If you cannot uninstall AVG, please try the following: 1 – uninstall in safe mode, contact AVG, reinstall AVG on top of the current AVG.

BitDefender 8 is an on-demand scanner only. It is only active when you have initiated a scan manually.

It is therefore an exception to the rule that says one should not use 2 anti-virus apps at the same time due to conflict. It is the use of 2 scanners with active, on-access, resident components that causes problems.

I have used BD-8 for years as a back-up virus scanner with many other anti-virus programs. No problems or conflicts at all.
