Are there any free anti-virus application softwares that not just scan but actually remove viruses?
I’m sick and tired of getting software that says free software removal when all it really means is a free virus scan. This is especially frustrating when I have only dial up in the community that I live in. I work in the computers field and it would be nice to find a software so that I could recommend it to friends and customers so that they can find out its useful significance. I know that there are some that exist.

You should try AVG anti-virus. It’s free, legitimate, and does just what you are talking about.
Do not use freeserials.com (mentioned by another person). It’s illegal and opens your computer up for trojans and other problems.
Also see the tutorial in the second link for more free software you can get to protect your computer.

Use the free trial of Norton Internet Security. Norton is amazing. It found and removed “bugs” on my computer that McAfee and others missed.

Try AVG or AVAST or TREND MICRO
Zone Labs used to have a free trial version (good for 90 days) that had a full scan / remove feature.
Other companies like NORTON or McAFEE or COMPUTER ASSOCIATES also used to have free trial versions.

You can use Macfee 10 ( is one of the best anti virus software). When ever u get a pop up or a message from the web saying free anti virus or spyware remover DONT EVER FALL FOR IT?? All of those are fakes. They will rather damage ur PC thn fixing it.

You can try AVG Free edition from http://www.grisoft.com.
Alternatively, there is a free version of Ewido Anti-Spyware (this catches the most baddies) downloadable from http://www.ewido.net.
