What is a good free anti-virus scanner?
I have Mcafee virus scanner, but I get an error saying it was unable to update and I need to reload the program I reload the program and the same error will pop-up. I realize I porbably have a virus. What will eliminate the virus???

All of the following anti virus programs are free for personal use. All work very well, but my personal favorite is “Avast”.

I would get in touch with Mcafee.. It could very well be that you have the Conflicker virus that is supposed to ruin thousands of computers tomorrow, April 1. It’s been all over the news that this virus deactivates anti-virus updates.
I wouldn’t trust a free program to eliminate it.
