Yahoo homepage past article about free Anti-virus protection which was the best?

A couple of months ago there was a article on the Yahoo homepage about different kinds of free Anti-Virus software available and which was the best. Does anyone have the link to that article?

I don’t know about the article, but I will tell you what I know… all the freebies are incomplete one way or another. Avast! Home Edition or Avira AntiVir Personal would be your best bet if you *had* to get one. Avast is probably the most complete but doesn’t include heuristic detection. Avira is known for it’s high detection rates (albeit prone to false-positives) but doesn’t include ‘WebGuard’ or ‘AntiDrive-by’.

You may have also heard of AVG Free. Avoid it. According to the *official* AVG website, it doesn’t include anti-rootkit or a web shield (two very important features). Furthermore, independent testing has found AVG detection rates to be rather AVeraGe.
