When using sandboxie on a browsing session, will my anti-virus still work as normal ?

What im trying to say is if i open a program in the sandbox which contains a virus, will my anti-virus still detect it ?

    if the malware can exploit a vulnerability in sandoxie and subsequently attempts to infect your unsandboxed system, then yes as long as your antivirus heuristics are up to the mark – it’s wise to have some security running on your pc.
