What is the best FREE anti-virus software? And where do i get it?

I have lots of virus’s on my computer and i need them gone. Is their any great anti-virus software or a good way to get rid of them? thanks.

    Avira and AVG are my favorites. also check with your internet provider. They may provide an antivrus for free,

    Asking someone “what is the best anti-virus” is like asking “What is the best doctor in the world”. Every anti-virus has it’s best tool :).. The major problem is between the chair and the computer

    In my case, I use Avast 4.8 Free version ( ^^ )

    The best i think that’s out there right now is AVG 9.0 Free, Spybot Search & Destroy 1.6.2 and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 1.42. You can download all of these from http://download.cnet.com/ on to your computer without any problems.
