    AVG Free as the antivirus
    Windows Defender as the antispyware

those both run all the time, so you can also install malwarebytes, which only allows manual scans for malware, which is good as a backup because antimalware products sometimes let stuff slip through.

Malwarebytes.. but truely there is no good Virus scanner. jsut try not to be ignorant when opening files up. usually you get pretty good signs its a virus when it doesn’t even say the name of hte product when you start running the exe. or the file is pretty small for what it should be.. like a song usually around 3MB to 5MB depending on length sometimes longer with really good quality.. a decent movie would run around 700MB.. Blue ray movie…depends on length i’ve seen them run from about 10GB to about 22GB. Programs vary a lot.. but stuff under 2 MB just be careful. Don’t click on any pop ups. watch out when your installing programs for the stupid toolbars… if they are trying to install Mywebsearch toolbar cancel the setup.. probably a virus.. =]

Avast, by far. Please trust me when I say this. It does full computer scans, virus removal and detection, and everything else. Completely free. I have been using it since I have had my laptop and it has prevented my computer from getting soo many viruses.
