Please mention a trustful and free anti virus program to download?
I have not been using any ani virus program because I do not go the risky sites. But now my computer is not working faster than earlier it did.Therfore I feel that virus may been caused.
Please help me introducing a trustful and free anti virus program to download and a virus removal program if it is affected.

I have a list of all trusted anti-virus and anti-spyware software along with some other secure software for protecting your computer. I have noted those which are free and those which are not.
-McAfee 12 in 1 Security Center (anti-virus)
or AVG if you want a free program
-Spyware Doctor with AV (anti-spyware)
or Spybot S&D if you want a free program
-PC Tools Firewall Plus(free) (firewall)
-ThreatFire(free) (added virus protection)
-CCleaner(keep computer running pretty good, cleans up history and whatnot)
-Firefox(safe browser)
All of the above programs(aside Spybot and AVG) I use and have been using for a very long time now, all with fantastic results. For AVG and Spybot they are both good in the way of free protection but McAfee and Spyware Doctor are recommended.
*All of these programs work on Windows Vista as well as XP

there’s two very good ones…There is Kaspersky Anti-Anti Virus
and there is SpyBot S&D
to very good programs

u always need firewall (sygate personal firewall for example) and Avast anti-virus

If you can do a system restore, that could help.
You aren’t always going to know what the risky sites are. The majority of virus attempts that I get come from political sites that seem fine right up until I click on them to read the story.
I use McAfee.

That is the best free antivirus on the market. It gives you real time protection, and you can do a boot scan to catch them before they load.
You may also want to try defragmenting your hard drive. Just right click on My Computer and click on Manage. Then on the left go down to Disk Defragmenter. Click on Defragment and let it do it’s thing. That should help speed up your computer.
Another thing that can slow your computer down is invalid registry entries. To take care of that download this little gem here –> http://personal.inet.fi/business/toniarts/ecleane.htm
Install it and then open it. Click on Registry and then Find. Then just delete all and you’re done. Close it out and wait till next time you need it.
You should run the defragmenter and the registry cleaner once a month to keep your computer nice and tidy. You should check for viruses probably weekly. You can also find a good adware scanner for free at http://www.lavasoft.com called AdAware. Good luck.
