norton anti virus scans when i start up. this makes it impossible to do anything until its done?
i sometimes have to restart my computer to get the wireless internet to connect. when i do this the anti virus does some kind of scan. can i get this disabled and have it do the scan in the middle of the night.

Turn off your norton anti-virus product to start at start up…the settings are in one of the index’…had the same problem…but i turned-off the setting for automatic start up scan…..you can do the same thing in your start up items by going to run and then type in MSCONFIG…then go to the start up tab..and unclick Norton…

Don’t go into Msconfig to shut down Norton. Just go into setting, Manage scans, and turn off the start up scan. The newer version of Norton do not do a start of scan in less they are configured to scan at start up. If you are using a old version, it’s a good idea to download the newest version of the Norton program you are using.
