If I already have a virus can I safely download anti,delete old anti,install new?How sure are you?
So new to computers…A friend said she’s sure I sent her a virus.I have old,old anti virus.How does this work? I know I have to delete the old one but is this safe if there is already a virus?Details appreciated!!!

Just download the new one first,then get offline.Right click on the old one and shut it down,go to add or remove programs and remove it.Then install the new one, get back online and update it.Then run a full scan.

You can have 127 anti virus programs running at once. it doesn’t matter.
and yeah, you can uninstall the old one, but i wouldn’t unless it’s McAfee.
