How many games for PS3 require an internet connection to save progress or just play the game?
And which games are they?
It’s a concerning trend in PC gaming which prevents those of us without internet connections from playing games.

Virtually none but with broadband costing just £10 a month now and over 60% of the UK online its hardly out of reach. You dont save progress online, it just means you may not be able to get extra levels, updates etc. Online gaming has been around for well over 20 years now so it’s nothing new. I remember playing online in 1985!

I’m pretty sure very few games require an internet connection just to SAVE or even play the offline version.
Some games like warhawk are 100% online so of course you need an internet connection hooked up to make those work,
but if you just want to play and safe a game offline, you definatley don’t need an internet connection for most ps3 games

i have a PS3 myself (60gb) and from my experience so far, virtually all PS3 games offer online play, but u dont need to have an internet connection to play them(unless u wanna play someone else online)
i havnt come across a game that requires a connection to save progress, i dont think u need a connection in that case. if ur playing online, all progress is saved on the HD
