if you had a license bought as OEM with your computer, you are entitled to a way of redeploying it. call your supplier.
obviously, this might not work for so many reasons and I am sorry for your problem, but it is the proper approach.

Norton is shit. I used it for many years and had an issue with a virus it couldn’t wipe.
I found Avast antivirus around this time which is free, constant updates and secure.
I have never turned back.
Avast also found like 4 or 5 other viruses norton couldn’t even detect at the time.
Take my advice – eject norton from your thinking – get Avast antivirus Home for free and then also get MalwareBytes – Anti malware. Both are free adn the best …. hands down
