How do I get rid of Facebook in my yahoo? I don’t want it and do not recall ever signing up for it?

Whenever I login to my yahoo mailbox I get a load of Facebook summaries of various people’s entries who are in my personal contact list. When I send an email there is a Facebook message that appears on the screen. I don’t want it. How to make it go away?

I think you’re talking about the Yahoo! updates. Click on manage settings. A new window/tab will open. De-select the two checked boxes (“share my updates” and “see my updates in yahoo mail”). You will also have to select “stop getting updates” for each person under the “seeing updates from” section on that page. That’s the only way I know to stop getting those; it has worked for me so far.

If you are referring to updates from Facebook in your inbox (such as a message titled “Juniper commented on your status,” you can stop those too by going to account > account settings > notifications and then de-select any box checked underneath “email” for which you don’t want to receive an email update.
