How do I download an anti virus?
I am using a 7dbm internet air card on my lap top and have downloaded anti viruses for it in the past year but now I am unable to delete kaspersky 2009 1 month trial version from it. It as says “this action is only valid for products that are currently installed.” when tried to uninstall it.
Any idea whats causing these problems any one?
Thank you in advance.
All the anti virus that I try to download turns out to be corrupted when they are done downloading.

Use Avast Anti-virus home edition. It’s free, and it’s not a trial version! You get the full version! All you have to do is register, which requires no money!
here’s the link:
http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html
To delete the program, use the Add/remove program from control panel (or uninstall a program for windows vista and 7) and double click on the anti-virus program. If that doesn’t work, go to the folder where the anti-virus is installed, drag it to the recycle bin and empty the recycle bin and you are good to go!
Once again, try Avast anti-virus home edition! It is free! I am using it.

First of all try to remove the trial version using Revo uninstaller software,it will remove all files and registry files associated with this software.
AVG Free Edition is the well-known antivirus protection tool. As someone else suggested, use Revo Uninstaller to finish uninstalling Kaspersky.
Then I suggest the following. Download and install a HOSTS file from here:
http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm
Download Spybot Search and Destroy from here:
http://www.safer-networking.org/en/
Run a spyware scan. Also run the immunize feature.
Also run a virus scan. You can use Housecall for free here:
http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
Or install AVG for free here: http://free.avg.com/
Check your Windows services. Here is a guide to help you check Windows services.
http://www.blackviper.com/WinVista/servicecfg.htm
The HOSTS file, Spybot’s immunize feature, Spybot’s TeaTimer service, and AVG anti-virus should protect you from getting infections. I also highly recommend surfing the web with either Firefox or Chrome. If you use Firefox, install Adblock Plus.
