Any ideas where to download good anti-virus help on the internet?
I need to know where on the internet to find free downloads that are really good because I think I already have a problem in my computer and being disabled, my conputer keeps me company and I really need it to be kept clean as it can be. I’m sure you know what I’m talking about when I say that my computer needs a very good anti-virus help. Any good ideas would be appreciated and thank you in advance.

If you have comcast you get Mcafee for free the retail version but you can also try AVG Anti-virus (very good) Zone alarm firewall. Or Clam-Win Anti virus. Also check http://www.download.com in its security section or the most downloaded security software at http://www.filehippo.com

i’m a technician, and believ me, norton, macafee, and all that crap is useless, try and get kaspersky, is one of the best ones, all u can try panda

Doing a virus scan is good, but it is not all that you need to do to keep your computer (and you) happy. Do all these:
1. Scan for virus and remove (free online scan) with BitDefender

2. Scan for trojans and remove (free online scan) with Ewido
http://www.ewido.net/en/
3. Scan for ad/spyware and remove (free download) with Spybot Search & Destroy

there are a zillion anti-virus s/w in the market today ..deciding which one is good is a lill difficult unless you already have a favourite …my guess is you dont have one :D…well, for free stuff go to http://www.download.com ..there in the search string type “anti-virus” , without the codes. You will get a bunch of search results…McAfee , AVG …my choice would be McAfee ( low on system resources )..well check it out and let me know if it worked..ltrs

go to microsoft.com and download Windows Defender and that should take care of it but if that dosent then go to a wal mart or somthin and buy NORTON ANTIVIRUS O6

You can try AVG anti-virus for a start and see how that Helps. Its a really good software, i had been using it on my comp ( now using company provided). Also its FREE and downloadable from the internet
