Which is the best free anti virus protection?

The free anti virus I now have will be discontinued Jan. 15 and in order for me to download the new one I will have to purchase an upgraded computer which I don’t want to have to do right now.

    Try AVG anti-virus. I have used it for a couple of years and it has worked great.

    try aol activevirusshield.It is based on the kaspersky engine and does not cosume lot of resources.avira does not have mail avntivirus and compared to avast activevirushield provides better detection.I switched recently from avast and avira to activevirusshield.
    P.S while installing opt out of the aol security toolbar option.

    I can give a few links that offer free virus and spy ware removers…!You may be having a virus or spyware installed on your PC. Norton, AVG , Avast are free antivirus software. Ad-aware, Ewido are free spyware removers. You can download free softwares at
