What is the best FREE anti-virus, anti-malware, anti-rootkit out?
I have an asus Eee PC and I recently received a rootkit and I had just AVG installed on my mini. Now I have it completely wiped and I don’t want that to happen again. So please tell me more free, SAFE!!!, FREE!!, did I mention free?, and great anti-virus, malware, rootkit, etc.

you should try anti avira its free and its one of the best its faster then avg and better , also with this you should get malewarebytes and installed them both
google them both there both free!!!!

Avast! Free Anti-virus software includes real time anti-rootkit protection.
For anti-malware I suggest Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware. You may also consider anti-spyware software like Spybot Search & Destroy.

REMEMBER, No antiviruses protect our computers from the virus spreading through USB. So, I recommend you to download USB Disk Security from one of the torrent sites.

Firs of all, I’d recommend you to download AVG from http://free.avg.com again, it’s the best thing to have.Preferably run it once in Safe Mode just to make sure.
Try to install and scan with Spybot S&D or Malwarebytes Anti-malware to remove any malware pests. Both have an IP blocker option and real-time protection (free in Spybot, available only in the full version of Malwarebytes), which is good at preventing the problem before it happens. I for one use full MBAM (someone here answered another question recommending Malwarebytes coupon codes shared by other users on http://news.dtcdeals.com/malwarebytes-coupon-code to save on the purchase) I prefer it since it has a scheduler to run scans and upgrades by itself.
Give this a go and see if it works for you, best to keep your computer fully protected! 🙂
