How many MB does your internet need for it to work fast for ps3 online ?

Im lookin at an internet service which is just £10 a month
and is just 2MB but there are other one for £30 a month for 20MB and another for £24 a month with 10MB.
Obviously the 20MB one would be the best but how good would it need to be to play ps3 online with no lag ?

A 2meg connection should be more than enough to play without lag on the ps3.

Make sure that your provider is actually giving you 2megs, rather than “up to 2 megs”, and also try turning off anything else (like computers) which are connected to the net while you’re gaming.

If you’re connected wirelessly, buy yourself an ethernet cable and try connecting with that- the wireless may just be having poor signal.

And also don’t forget that the lag on the server you’re playing on can be caused by *any* of the players playing, not necessarily you.

But yeah, 2 megs is more than enough, so if that’s what you’re getting then I’d say look at other causes of slow speed (such as poor wireless signal), it won’t be your internet.
