How do I rid my computer of the Kaperski Anti Virus program ?
the pop up keeps coming on my screen every time I start the computer – also just add yahoo messenger is not running and a box comes up even though I have erased it. Where can I go on the computer to erase the residue of these programs?

you can download a program called revo uninstaller it uninstalles programes and anyother files to do with it

Shut down the PC.
Restart it and while restarting tap the F8 key repeatedly until you get to the option to choose SAFE MODE.
Select SAFE MODE.
Then click on START and go to SETTINGS – CONTROL PANEL – ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMMES (or in VISTA, Programmes and Features).
Then select Kasperski and uninstall – restart PC in normal mode.
It should be gone. Try that and also go here – http://www.ccleaner.com
Download the Ccleaner programme and install – when installed put a tick in every box in CLEANER tab.
Then go to the REGISTRY TAB – and clean the registry of all the left overs – that should clear the whole system of the junk left behind

Hi,try control panel–add/remove programs–uninstall–first as the previous person suggested.If this does not solve your problem go to the Microsoft home page and down load the Windows Install Cleanup utility(its free),after you have installed this, look for the programs you want to uninstall and follow instructions.It will only take a short while but be careful you uninstall only the programs you want for using this utility will remove all of the program.
Even if you don’t need this program for this problem its worth down loading if you ever get a stubborn program you need to get rid of .I used it myself recently when i tried to install office 2007 and couldn’t uninstall my old version of office via the control panel.Good luck.
