Go to the following website and try to download the test file. If your antivirus is working it will stop the download and alert you to a malicious file.

I run Spybot Search from time to time. I don’t go to questionable sites, so I never get hits. (Knock wood!)

http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ .. its free and runs off their website.. its a one time remote scan to remove any virus’s your installed anti-virus might have missed.. go to the site and click on scan now.. Ive been using this site for 5-6 years now.. works great even if you cant get a anti-virus installed to remove a virus blocking you from installing one..

i would not go and download that test file like someone suggested. It could potentially harm your computer. And you do not want this. especially since your not certain about your protection. But Comdo free anti-virus is not that great. I would recommend you download and install avast home edition for your anti-virus, superanti-spyware for your spyware protection and Malwarebytes for an added bonus. With these three pieces of security software, viruses and malicious software will be a thing of the past for you. Do as MB suggested…Eicar is 100% safe despite what some know-nothings here on Yahoo Answers may say.
If your Comodo has a “web-shield”…that is it scans all http traffic from the web BEFORE it hits your hard drive… you won’t even need to download the test file…just click on iot and your antivirus should squeal like a pig!
