How can I set up a standalone internet security camera?
I want to set up a standalone internet security camera running off of a broadband connection in my second home.
I was wondering what equipment would I need to do this?
Would I also need an always on broadband (cable) or could I get away with leaving an adsl connection always connected?
Thanks for your help!
By standalone I mean without a pc! Thanks!

You could use an IP cam wich has an IP address rather than that standard USB cam linked to a PC.
you then have the ADSL/modem router say with a 4 port ethernet and connect it to that. I am sure it will broadcast on you external IP address depending upon the cameras software
