That sounds much more like a virus, claiming to be some fake antivirus saying your computer is infected. I recommend you get rid of the program (if it is a program) and use something like AVG Antivirus ( or use Trend Micro Housecall ( to make sure there aren’t any other threats on your PC.

Go to this site for details. You don’t have to do it on the affected computer if it won’t let you. Print off the instructions and download he required software on another computer. Save it to a memory stick and transfer it to the infected one and follow the instructions. Good luck

More than likely the “Antivirus” is a piece of spyware/malware.

What is the name of the Antivirus, and I will tell you how to remove it.

It’s a malware infection, use the following free programs, download, install, update and reboot into Safe Mode to scan:
    Malwarebytes Anti-Malware:
    Select Full Scan.
Remove all infections that it finds after scan.

    SUPERAntiSpyware Free Edition:
Select Scan your Computer, select your drive and select Perform Complete Scan and remove infections, then click on Preferences, click Repairs Tab and click on any of the System and Browser Repair Items that you may have problems with then click Perform Repair.

Spyware Doctor Starter Edition – Realtime monitoring:
This is an easy to use, preconfigured application that is ready to use as soon as you install it.
It will protect against spyware, adware, spyware trojans, keyloggers and more.

Sounds like it is a rogue anti-spyware program similar to the well known XP Antivirus rogue application.

Restart your PC in safe mode with networking

If your Wallpaper has changed then download and run Wallpaper Hijacker

Download, install, and run a full scan with Rogue Remover

Run a full scan with Micro Trend House Call

You should also download, install and run a full scan with Malwarebytes
