Good free anti virus for windows 7 suggestions please?

I have Windows 7 64 bit, and my Norton subscription ends soon. What are the best free security packages to get, ie anti virus etc, and should i use windows firewall, or something else?
I am in the UK.

Avast is good, Avg ok, Microsoft Security Essentials… Windows firewall in 7 is ok, no need to install some bulky firewall…

AVG Internet Security. Download the free trial, then enter one of the following serials during install:
    8MEH-R6BFE-HWUHF-DPNDA-VFUWX-2EMBR-ACED
    8MEH-RXYFD-JUV72-8922R-FTBZ6-QEMBR-ACED
    8MEH-RXYFD-JUV72-8922R-FTBZ6-QEMBR-ACED
    8MEH-RFR8J-PTS8Q-92ATA-ORC6Q-JEMBR-ACED
If it tells you that the serial has been changed, just use a different one.

Its all a matter of opinion. I use Avast , I have also got superantispyware and Malwarebytes. I recently changed to Comodo firewall which seems fine and I seem to boot up quicker. They are all free for personal use and I have had no trouble with Viruses Trojans Hackers etc. I also use Windows Defender from the Microsoft site. It is safe to use two anti-spy products but never use more than one A/V as it can cause conflicts. You should run A/V and anti spy weekly. Hope this helps
